The EM Power Supply Family of Systems are power supplies specifically designed to suit all aspects of the EM VORTEX market and tailored for each VORTEX Main Board. The system's goal is to rectify all methods of power universally into a smooth input for the VORTEX main board. With wide input ranges, high discharge capacities, and backup battery charging systems, the EM Power Supply Family is leading the industry in all capacities, whether it be used as a standalone unit or combined with an EM VORTEX Main Board to create a tailored ecosystem for your needs.
A lightweight, low-cost, power supply aimed at those who just need power converted simply, with no excess features or backup batteries. Best suited for the Lite and STD VORTEX Main Boards.
Standard-level power supply, for normal operations, with battery backup charging capabilities. Wide input ranges and adjustable outputs allow for complete customization for any charging and discharging setup. Designed for STD and Lite level VORTEX Main Boards.
Top-Level Power Supply for systems that need multiple inputs and high discharge capacities. Retaining charging capabilities from STD. Dual Input selection allows for an uninterruptable power supply in case of an emergency, using the backup battery charged by the system. Suited for all EM VORTEX models but recommended for PRO.
The EM Power Supply Family supports both AC and DC input sources as a means for accepting all methods of power for not only testing but also operation as well.
A wide input range allows for many different power sources to be rectified. The range was designed to apply to 3~38s battery systems and accommodate standard US 110v AC Inputs.
Large output current allows for myriad components and applications to be powered. Output current is model dependent, with the Lite & STD Models having. 30A output limit and the Pro model accommodates up to 50A of current.
Built-in to the STD & Pro models is a battery charging and monitoring system that encompasses multiple integrated systems built-on the EM Power Supply Controllers that regulate safety aspects and control the output specifications based on parameters set by the user in the EM One EcoSystem App © or by the dials on the output side of the controller.
The EM Power Supply STD and Pro controllers have a maximum adjustable charge current of 10A (Max 600w) to accommodate a rapid charging system.
A wide charge output voltage range allows for near universality in an ecosystem, allowing many different voltage sources to be charged, and ultimately serving as a backup source in case of a main source outage.
Short circuit protection protects your EM Power Supply System in case of an internal short occurring or if there is an accidental bridge between inputs or outputs.
Reverse Polarity Protection protects your EM Power Supply System from damage if, by accident poles (+ and -) are connected improperly. The system will alert you of the error and suspend operations.
On Pro and STD models, charge current can be adjusted in the EM One EcoSystem App © or by the dials on the output side of the controller. Adjustable charge current allows for the safe operation of charging and maximizes efficiency.
On Pro and STD models, adjusting the charge percentage either in the EM One EcoSystem App © or by the dials on the output side of the controller controls to what percentage the charging system will charge your external source (Expressed in terms of Volts / Cell).
On Pro and STD models, Float Voltage can be set in the EM One EcoSystem App © or by the dials on the output side of the controller. Float Voltage is the voltage maintained in which after fully charging the battery. Expressed as a percentage, the system will hold the battery at said percentage, for storage and use.
The EM Power Supply Family uses several chips by Analog Devices Inc. for power management, rectification, and charging. The use of these chips allows for increased efficiency and output capacities. These all are managed by the central processor, an ESP32-WROOM by Esspressif Systems Inc. This chip allows for all of the logic processing to take place and hosts communication for the EM One EcoSystem App ©.
On the Pro Model of the EM Power Supply, Dual Input Selection is equipped to complete the Uninterruptible Power Supply System on the controller. This allows the system to function in case of an outage in the main source, by switching inputs to the backup battery, charged and maintained per the subsequent systems.
The EM One EcoSystem App © is the central display and monitor of all things EM. Inside the application, you can view all of your devices, control myriad parameters and functions, set up workflows, and submit support tickets. The app also serves as a center for ordering and communicating through your EM One © account. This system directly interfaces with the EM One ©'s protocols and allows full access to control and view your system.
The entire EM Power Supply Family is protected and rated IP68 for water resistance, allowing it to survive up to 1.5m submerged in water for up to 30 minutes without damage to your system. This allows you to take your EM Power Supply in the harshest of conditions.
The EM Power Supply Line-Up of Systems has extensive thermal managing and monitoring aspects built in. The system manages every single chip's thermal properties and checks the inputs, outputs, and charge source for any out-of-line temperatures. If a fault is detected, all functionality is suspended until resolved.
